Boom News! | ’25 DB Courtland Guillory Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners picked up a big-time win on the recruiting trail as 2025 defensive back Courtland Guillory has announced his pledge to Jay Valai and Oklahoma!

Guillory (6’1 170) out of Spring, Texas, chose the Sooners over more than a dozen other programs, including Tennessee, Texas A&M and Missouri.

But this one came down to a Red River matchup as the Sooners beat the Texas Longhorns in a head-to-head battle on the recruiting trail!

Guillory visited Norman multiple times since he picked up his offer in January, before the Spring Game weekend his most recent visit was on April 6th.

Following that visit, I posted a ‘Trending’ note which you can find HERE.

“Gonna go ahead and put that trend in that I spoke about earlier for ‘25 CB Courtland Guillory.

58.72…to OU.

That is all for now, will talk about this more in the coming days.”

He will bring a tremendous skillset to the cornerback room in Norman. Guillory is a superb athlete with good size, good length, and top-level speed.

Guillory is a guy who can absolutely make an early impact in his career in Norman. He joins Maliek Hawkins in the corner room and OU is still pursuing Cobey Sellers and Trystan Haynes as corners. Hawkins may take the DB designation as OU can see where he fits best in the secondary.

Really nice pickup and a tremendous job of recruiting by Valai.

Boom.
