The Sooners lock up another in-state priority target as athlete CJ Nickson has committed to Oklahoma!
Nickson (6’5 220) out of Weatherford, Oklahoma, chose the Sooners in a head to head matchup with Oklahoma State.
The Sooners view Nickson as an EDGE. The plan is for him to begin his career on the defensive side of the ball but you have to wonder if Seth Littrell and Joe Jon Finley will put up a fight and try to get him some looks at Tight End before things settle in.
Nickson is a terrific athlete who also plans on trying his hand at basketball if things can be worked out.
He is a very raw prospect but with his size, length, and athleticism, he has the potential to be special on the EDGE should his development reach its potential.
This one has always been a matter of “when” not “if” and today is “When”.
Nice addition to the class for Oklahoma!
