The Sooners add more speed to the wide receiver room as Zion Ragins (5’9 150) out of Gray, GA announced his commitment to Emmett Jones and Oklahoma!
Ragins picked the Sooners over Georgia and Florida State, both of which he officially visited in June.
Emmett Jones and the Sooners prioritized the speedy wide receiver early on and hosted him several times including his official visit in June.
Ragins joins a well-rounded and deep wide receiver class in Norman as the Sooners now have five pass catchers committed in Ragins, Zion Kearney, KJ Daniels, Dozei Ezukanma, and Ivan Carreon.
The biggest thing that Ragins brings to the Sooners right now, is speed…plenty of it. He holds the Georgia state record for a freshman as he ran a 10.37 as a ninth grader. While he is not the tallest guy on the field, he should provide OU with a Swiss army-type weapon as he can line up inside or outside on offense and he should compete immediately for special team touches in the return game.
Really nice pickup by Emmett Jones who has done a bang-up job in retooling his room for the move to the SEC.
