Boom News! | ’24 OL Eugene Brooks Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners pick up a much-needed addition to the ’24 offensive line class as Eugene Brooks (6’3 320) out of Chatsworth, California, has announced his commitment to Bill Bedenbaugh and Oklahoma!
While Brooks holds around 20 offers from the likes of Texas, USC, Texas A&M, Oregon, Georgia and Florida State, this recruitment was the case of a California kid that boiled down to a Red River Showdown as his final two schools were OU and Texas.
He visited both Norman and Texas in June and initially, it looked like Texas had the upper hand in this one.
Brooks is a versatile player who will likely play the interior at OU, but he plays tackle for his high school team. Very much in the mold that Bedenbaugh has had great success with.
The Sooners now have two offensive linemen committed in the class as Brooks joins Isaiah Autry in the fold.
