Boom News! | ’24 EDGE Wyatt Gilmore Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners continue to pick up pieces for the 24 class as EDGE Wyatt Gilmore (6’4 240) out of Rogers, Minnesota, has announced his pledge to Oklahoma!
Gilmore had a top 5 of OU, Minnesota, Miami, Oregon, and Kansas State.
The Sooners prioritized Gilmore early on as they offered him back in February. He and his family wasted little time in getting their first look at Norman when they visited back in March.
Oklahoma really made a huge impression on that visit to the ‘Future Freaks’ event and following the trip, Wyatt told me, “We expected a lot going into the visit and they delivered a lot more than we expected, I’ll just put it that way”. Gilmore went on to tell me “My favorite part of the visit was probably the practice because I got to see the coaches interact with the players and see the intensity and productivity of the practice”.
Gilmore made his way back to Norman for his official visit for the ChampU BBQ and that sealed the deal for the talented EDGE prospect.
This is a pickup that the staff really was looking for as they identified him as a priority and went out and closed on him.
Nice addition who brings the measurables you look for as he has good size, length, and speed. As I said in a previous note, if you can pair him with a guy like Okoye or Zina, that’s a really nice class at EDGE!
