The Sooners continue to stay hot on the recruiting trail as they pick up a commitment from in-state defensive back Mykel Patterson McDonald!
Patterson McDonald (5’9.5 175) chose the Sooners over offers from Missouri, Michigan State, Iowa State and Houston.
The Sooners extended their offer back in January of this year and since that point, it has felt like a matter of if, not when, he would give Oklahoma his pledge.
He is very familiar with the Sooners and has been on campus numerous times. Patterson McDonald also happens to be very close friends with OU priority defensive line target David Stone.
Patterson McDonald joins Jaydan Hardy in Coach Brandon Halls safety room for the ‘24 class.
Nice addition to the class.
