The Sooners added an important piece to the defensive backfield puzzle in the ’24 class as Michael Boganowski has announced his verbal commitment to Oklahoma!
Boganowski (6’2 205) out of Junction City, Kansas, picked the Sooners over instate offers from Kansas State and Kansas and Florida State was the other school in his top four.
He also held offers from USC, Tennessee, Michigan, Missouri, Stanford and Duke among others.
The Sooners are recruiting Boganowski as a safety and he projects as a safety/cheetah in Brent Venables defense over the coming years.
Oklahoma and Kansas State were battling till the end for Boganowski’s pledge and the opportunity to learn and develop under Brent Venables and the Sooner staff won out over the geographical advantage that Kansas State held.
Really nice addition for Oklahoma as Boganowski is a very good athlete who is long and twitchy. He will fit in nicely on the Sooners backend in coming seasons.
