The Sooners pick up another piece of the ’24 class as in-state athlete Andy Bass announced his verbal pledge to Oklahoma!
Bass (5’11 200) out of Oklahoma City (Heritage Hall) is a guy that OU is recruiting as a slot receiver but he can do a little bit of everything and is a true athlete in every sense of the word.
As we mentioned HERE the Sooners felt like they were in a good position for the talented athlete.
Bass recently posted a top 3 of OU, KSU, and Syracuse and in the end, the opportunity to play for the Sooners won the day!
This is a really nice pickup for Oklahoma. Bass is a guy that can play any number of positions and play them well. He is an athlete in every sense of the word and initially, he will be deployed as an offensive Swiss Army type of weapon.
As I mentioned previously, Bass plays Quarterback for his high school team and he certainly could see some packages in that setting at OU over time. Expect him to start his career as a slot/all purpose back.
Nice addition to the class. Smart kid, great athlete.
