Boom News! | ’23 WR DeAndre Moore Commits to Oklahoma!
Posted on: September 24, 2021
The Sooners continue to add to their top ranked 2023 class as wide receiver DeAndre Moore (5’11 190) out of Los Alamitos, CA has announced his verbal pledge to Oklahoma!
Moore joins his Los Alamitos High School teammates, QB Malachi Nelson and WR Makai Lemon, in giving his verbal pledge to the Sooners.
The trio was in town for the ChampU BBQ back in June and it felt like it was only a matter of time before Moore joined Nelson and Lemon in the OU ’23 class.
Nelson committed to OU in July, Lemon announced his commitment in August, September brings Moore into the fold.
On the field, Moore is a talented two way player who brings tremendous ball skills to the fold. He is being recruited to OU as a wide receiver for sure, but he is also a very talented defensive back.
A quick look at those ball skills…
The addition of Moore means the Sooners currently have three outstanding wide receiver commits as he joins Brandon Inniss and Makai Lemon in the receiver’s room.
DeAndre is the 7th commit for Oklahoma in an outstanding start to the ’23 class, He joins QB Malachi Nelson (Los Alamitos, CA), WR Brandon Inniss (Fort Lauderdale, FL), WR Makai Lemon (Los Alamitos, CA), RB Treyaun Webb (Jacksonville, FL), TE Luke Hasz (Bixby, OK), and OL Joshua Bates (Durango, CO).
Huge pickup for the Sooners.
For those of you asking, I do not believe Oklahoma is done at WR for the ’23 class and I would keep an eye on Jalen Hale and Ashton Cozart as guys they will continue to push for.
