The Sooners have picked up a commitment from ’23 DT Ashton Sanders tonight following his official visit to Norman this weekend!
Sanders was the third ‘Banderas’ I put up today and is the first to go public!
I touched base with Sanders as he was leaving his visit and he let me know he committed to OU.
Sanders said “Yeah, I’m a Sooner!”
Aston said he was really blown away by the visit and the best part was getting an understanding for the foundation of Oklahoma football.
He said “I trust my career to be in the hands of the Oklahoma staff”
Sanders becomes the 21st commitment in the ’23 class.
The Sooners offered him on November 1st and he wasted little time in setting up a visit to Norman.
He holds offers from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Washington and Utah among others and was once committed to Cal.
He is a bit undersized height wise, but he is strong, athletic and has a good burst with a constant motor. All good tools for Bates to work with.
