July has been very, very good on the recruiting trail for the Oklahoma Sooners and today, they pick up a big commitment from ’23 cornerback Jasiah Wagoner (5’11 170) out of Spanaway, Washington!
Wagoner had a final four which consisted of OU, Oregon, Texas and Cal.
He chose the Sooners over more than a dozen offers, including Notre Dame, Tennessee, both in state schools, Miami, and Penn State, and his other three finalists.
Shortly after picking up his Oklahoma offer, Wagoner made his way to Norman and camped for Oklahoma. He was a stand-out by all accounts that day and at that point, OU began to push hard for his commitment.
He is a true corner which is something OU had been missing in this class to this point. Sooners corners coach Jay Valai hopes to bring in Jacobe Johnson and Makari Vickers to team with Wagoner in the corners room.
He is the 17th commit in the ‘CHO23N’ class for Oklahoma and is the second commit from the state of Washington as he joins offensive lineman Heath Ozaeta in the journey to Norman.
Really nice addition for the Sooners!
