The Sooners picked up the commitment of ’22 wide receiver Jayden Gibson (6’5 185) out of Winter Garden, Fl.
Gibson was in Norman for an official visit this past weekend and OU impressed the big wideout to the point that he tweeted out he would stay with his plan of signing to the school of his choosing on Wednesday, while still in town.
Gibson was a long time Florida commit and he rejoins QB Nick Evers in Norman to team up in Jeff Lebby’s offense.
This is not your typical OU receiver from the previous regimes. Gibson brings size, length, and good hands to the fold and can create the types of matchup nightmare against smaller DBs that Sooner fans are all too familiar with on the other side of the ball.
Gibson is not a burner, but he will have plenty of opportunities in Lebby’s offense to use his strengths in one on one matchups.
