Boom News! | ’22 OT Jake Taylor Commits to OU!

Oklahoma remains scorching hot on the recruiting trail here in early July as they pick up another massive commit from 2022 Offensive Tackle Jake Taylor (6’6 290) out of Las Vegas, NV.

Taylor chose the Sooners over the other two members of his top three: Alabama and Notre Dame. Taylor holds over two dozen offers from around the country and Coach B went out and got his man.

Taylor officially visited Norman for the ChampU BBQ and that was all he needed to see to know that Oklahoma was his future home.

The long-awaited addition of Taylor brings the offensive line class into clearer focus as he joins Pancake Hunter and Jacob Sexton in the class. The Sooners are still hoping to receive good news from George Fitzpatrick this summer and if things go their way, they will head into fall and be able to laser focus on guys like Devon Campbell, Malik Agbo and several other targets to close the class up.

He is the 13th member of the ChampU22 class.

Taylor is one of the most athletic tackles in the country and he is already a physical specimen as a rising senior in high school.

This is a massive addition for Coach Bedenbaugh and the Sooners as it also reopens doors to the Las Vegas area.
