Boom News! | ’22 OL Jacob Sexton Commits to Sooners!

The Sooners picked up a big commit in the ’22 class on the offensive line as instate target Jacob Sexton (6’5 285) out of Edmond, Oklahoma, has announced his verbal pledge to OU!
Sexton chose the Sooners over Alabama, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, and Texas.
I caught up with him to get his thoughts on choosing the Sooners.
Sexton told me the last visit to Norman is what really sealed the deal with him. Jacob said, “I feel like that moment hit like a sudden feeling of home.”
He went on to say “Ever since the offer, they have always been one of the teams in my top group and they have been consistent with me.”
When I asked him to talk about Coach B a bit, Jacob said “He’s got a proven ability to put players in the league and helps develop them on and off the field.”
Sexton joins Pancake Hunter in the offensive line class and right now, it looks pretty promising for the Sooners in regard to adding additional members to the OL class in the month of July as we expect Jake Taylor and George Fitzpatrick to announce their choices in the near future.
