The Sooners added a priority target in the ’22 class as EDGE R Mason Thomas (6’2 215) out of Fort Lauderdale, FL has committed and signed with Oklahoma!
Thomas has been committed to Iowa State for some time and when the new staff took over in Norman, he became an immediate priority target for Brent Venables and OLB/DE coach Miguel Chavis.
He officially visited Norman in January and his relationship with the staff and his comfort level in Norman won the day for Oklahoma.
Oklahoma pulled off the flip from Iowa State and held off a push from Miami to earn his signature.
Really nice pickup for the Sooners who feel that Thomas will develop into a guy who can consistently pressure the QB.
