Boom News! | ’22 DT Cedric Roberts Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners picked up another piece of the ‘ChampU22’ puzzle today as ’22 defensive tackle Cedric Roberts out of Pflugerville, TX announced his commitment to Oklahoma!
Super K broke the news of his visit to Norman earlier this week and then reported that the offer had been made and hinted that the Sooners were in the position to take his commitment.
Roberts was committed to Baylor for a while but de-committed from the Bears earlier this summer. He has since picked up offers from OU, Colorado, and Indiana.
The Sooners got the big fella on campus this week and liked what they saw. Before he left Norman, the Sooners extended the offer and Roberts verbally committed to the Sooners while on campus.
As Super K mentioned in an earlier note, Roberts has the size OU covets and a tremendous first step off the line. K’s sources who are familiar with Roberts tell him that the young man has a very high ceiling and he has next-level potential.
Nice addition to the class as Roberts becomes the 16th member of the class!
