Boom News! | ’22 DT Alton Tarber Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners picked up a big time commitment from ’22 DT Alton Tarber (6’3 320) out of Deerfield Beach, FL.
Tarber was in Norman for an official visit this past weekend and saw enough to pull the trigger.
As Super K mentioned this morning, following his decommitment from Georgia Tech, this appeared to be only a matter of time.
‘As you know, this past weekend, the Sooners hosted 2022 DT Alton Tarber (Deerfield Beach, FL) for an official visit.
On Saturday, we noted that we’d already started to hear things were looking good for the Sooners. Shortly after, Tarber decommitted from Georgia Tech.
It doesn’t require much investigation to figure out what’s next but I did want to mention a couple of things I think are important.’
Tarber joins Cedric Roberts in the class as an interior defensive lineman.
Venables and Chavis have been recruiting Tarber for a while and they even worked with him in camp so they are very familiar with him and they went out and made him a priority!
