The Sooners just picked up a huge commitment as 2022 EDGE Derrick Moore has announced his verbal pledge to Jamar Cain and the Sooners! ‘Speed D’ got a good one.

Moore (6’4 260) out of Baltimore, MD (St Frances) chose the Sooners over dozens of others which included a top three of Ohio State and Penn State to go along with OU.
Derrick is a big fan of Jamar Cain and the work grad assistant Will Johnson did in this recruitment should not be overlooked as OU has kept the east coast pipeline open. You can bet Caleb Williams had his hands in this as well.
Moore brings a skillset similar to Isaiah Thomas in that he will be able to play on the edge while also being sturdy enough to slide inside in the future and man the 3tech.
Really nice pick up of a highly rated defender who will provide a lot of options for the Sooners in the years to come.
