The Sooners picked up a commitment from 2020 quarterback Chandler Morris today at the Under Armour All-Star Game!
Morris, listed at 5’10 170, has a strong arm and looks like he can make any and all throws necessary. Highlights include him making throws down the seams and to the boundaries. He also displays some very advanced touch for a high school kid. He has shown to be a very accurate thrower and he has a knack for throwing his receivers open. He has good mechanics and as an added bonus, he is a coaches kid as he is the son of former Arkansas and SMU head coach Chad Morris which is always a good thing.
One thing that flies under the radar is his ability to make plays on the ground. Very good scramble skills and he can certainly produce when his name is called.
Morris is the 23rd commit in the Sooners 2020 class and gives the Sooners some much-needed depth in the QB room!
