BOOM NEWS: 2019 QB Spencer Rattler Commits to Sooners

Earlier this month, we alluded to the possibility of 2019 QB, Spencer Rattler (Phoenix, AZ) committing on his visit; Lincoln Riley’s number one 2019 quarterback target has now pulled the trigger.

Rattler had this to say to TFB about his commitment:
Coach Riley offered me when I was 14. We are close. Then I visited Oklahoma and loved everything there. Best facilities, loved the staff, just everything. Can’t wait to be a Sooner!
Oklahoma offered Rattler back in April of 2016. Rattler has a good relationship with Lincoln Riley, and was excited to get on campus. When he was able to do so on June 19th, he told TFB that the visit couldn’t have gone any better.

He is listed as one of the most coveted quarterbacks in the 2019 class. With him being a 2019 prospect, the highlights below are from his sophomore year.
It’s huge to get the quarterback for a recruiting class early on, as they can become the foundation that the staff works around. The Sooners have themselves a good one under center for the 2019 class.
