The Sooners have received a commitment from 2018 RB T.J. Pledger. Pledger is currently on a visit in Norman, and we have mentioned the strong possibility of this being his time to make his plans known with regards to OU. This is his second visit to OU, with the first being for Bedlam a few months ago.

Pledger is a highly recruited APB out of the IMG Academy in Florida. Some of the biggest threats to OU have been USC, UCLA, and Nebraska.
He has had a strong connection with the university for a while now. TFB spoke with Pledger in late November; he mentioned he had grown close to the staff, particularly Coach Jay Boulware, and was quoted saying, “Oklahoma is RBU so I knew I would want to visit as soon as possible.” Our own Super K mentioned a few weeks ago that a “source on the OU side tells us that OU is looking to take two running backs in this class,” so this won’t shut down the backfield recruiting for the Sooners.
T.J. Pledger is listed at 5’8″ and 190, which is pretty darn built for that height. His strength is evident from his film. Other things that are remarkably evident from his film – his quickness and his vision. He is very apt at getting to the outside for long runs, and his quick cuts and stops allow him to do that. His vision is also on full display in his film. Pledger breaks several runs off for long gains that had no business going past the line of scrimmage, but he patiently finds a hole and then explodes through it.
Needless to say, OU got a good one here. Oh, and BOOM.
UPDATE (12:55 PM)
"I'm shutting it down, no more visits, I'm a 100% Sooner" Pledger said moments ago, will also be an early grad and enroll for spring ball
