2018 LB Nik Bonitto has committed to the Sooners, doing so during the break at the Under Armour All America game. He mentioned that, “Lincoln Riley is doing something special.”

The Florida linebacker and Oklahoma started circling each other heavily this past fall. He attempted to visit Norman for several games, but could not make it out. Then, in December, Mike Stoops visited him. Bonitto had this to say about the visit: “I asked Bonitto what Stoops message has been to him, “he’s telling me about the championship culture at Oklahoma that everyone sees and he’s letting me know that they have guys leaving and that I’ll get a chance to be on the field right away.”
Then, in mid-December, things started to heat up. Texas, Louisville, and Oklahoma all seemed quite sure of landing the star linebacker. He originally wanted to sign on the early signing day in December, but decided against it. Bonitto then decided to announce during the Under Armour All America game, which he did tonight.
Oklahoma is getting a stud at a position of need.
