The Sooners basketball program has received a commitment from 2017 5 star PG Trae Young. Young committed Thursday at noon by donning an OU hat and throwing out a “Boomer Sooner” for good measure, noting that OU feels like home. The Norman North product chose to stay in-state with the Sooners over offers from some of the biggest basketball programs in the country. Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Kansas were seen as the biggest threats to land the talented young man over the past few weeks. Needless to say, this is a huge get for Lon Kruger and company to add to a talented, albeit young, roster.
