Welcome to the Round 2 results of our “Best Wins of the Bob Stoops Era Tournament.” This tournament started a few weeks ago, with the goal of finding out which wins in the Stoops era were the most beloved by Sooner fans. Each Friday, we will offer up a bracket of the Best Wins of the Bob Stoops Era, with different wins going up against each other. You will all get the opportunity to vote for the wins you think were the best until Sunday afternoon. We’ll post the results each Monday, with an updated Bracket. Then, we’ll do it all again for the next round. If you missed the last round, although the voting is over, it can be found here: TFB: Best Wins of the Stoops Era Round 2.

Round 2 had some great games, with lots of good wins going head-to-head. The Bracket below shows which wins moved onto Round 3.

Bracket After Round 2

A few of the matchups stuck out to me. The most lopsided victory was Game 18, OU vs. FSU 2000 against OU vs. 2015, with a 92% to 2% result. Hard to argue with voting for the National Championship. The closest matchup was Game 19, OU vs. Tennessee 2015 against OU vs. KSU (1) 2000, with a 55% to 45% result. It’s bizarre seeing some of these wins that are Sooner legends get knocked out, but that’s the byproduct of having as many great wins as Stoops had.

Thanks to all who voted on Round 2. As a reminder for when we get to Round 3, please vote! No login is required, just a click of the mouse. We’ll open voting on Friday to see which wins will move onto the next round.
