Oklahoma came into the weekend with the likelihood possibility of filling what is believed to be their final open spot in this 2016 secondary class. And 2016 cornerback Jordan Parker jumped on what TFB told you was likely a first come, first served opportunity.
Committed … #BoomerSooner thank you to all the coaches that recruited me, I'm blessed đź’Ż pic.twitter.com/Vw3HvmgKxT

BOOM!
Great day to be a sooner! I bet even SD is excited today

Question. Who was the primary recruiter responsible for his recruitment?
Cooks and Simmons with Cooks the primary I believe.
Joe Mixon!
LOL.
Welcome, Mr. Parker!!!!! I’ll be watching.

Possibly a touch optimistic, but I’d like to watch him get four.
I’ll just call you Optimistic Prime… or is it Perine?

There We Go!! Oklahoma Fans!!! Welcome the Newest Member to the team so love! #Boomer #JustCommited
Mixon always workin!
Cooks is the man. We need Reynolds to close a couple of these DL kids.
Looks like things could get interesting with Lamar Jackson , USC is low on available scholarships for this class , parker and lamar are close
Yeah but so are Parker and shurod Thompson but we pulled his offer. Although if we make an exception on db numbers I think it would be for a corner not a safety.
I can see Lamar Jackson being similar to adore Jackson from USC , he play offense , defense , and special teams for us
We need to get players like that. Apparently that’s what briles is doing and it’s never a bad thing to be able to lean on an unexpected wr to play corner and vice versa.
He is 6’3 205 , he would be great in our WR lineup , mixture of size and speed
Anyone think we have a legit shot at him?
He’s a great looking player, but we haven’t even offered him.
USC and UCLA lean but you never know
FWIW, I was just over at the paysites and the Scoop and Insider aren’t reporting this news as yet. No big deal, just thought it neat that the free site is on top of its game.
I found it interesting they were tweeting about it, but failed to post it on their site. Lazy?
That’s one reason why I quit them. Same ol’ sh-t all the time.
See and they get PAID to be around all day and post breaking news. Hmm
Yeah, Joey is a Kansan, so he’s more interested in the Royals at the moment and McCuistion is tweeting about his commit but not update. 247 finally did update.
Last tuesday I got a top of the McLaren F1 from earning $16020 this last four weeks and also 15-k last-month . this is definitely the coolest work I have ever done . Without any question it’s the most financially rewarding Ive had . I started this 4 months ago & practicaIIy straight away began to bring home over $97 p/h .Visit weblink to start immediately.

Boom! What a day!
We seem to be ahead of where we normally are in the recruiting game. And we have some really good players committed.
Yeah. We’re haulin’ in some really talented kids. Maybe, contrary to Paul Finebaum’s assessment, OU is relevant after all.
I think we only have about 5 more spots open right now. I assume there will be some attrition but I still only see us signing 17-18 kids at the most.
Edit: and I think kelly is all but committed.
If we take 18 then we have 7 spots left. I think we will take 20.
I hope we can take 20
It’s possible but that’s a lot of attrition. Only 12 scholarship seniors graduate.
Yeah, and a lot of the attrition happens at the end of the school year when it is too late to use their scholly on NSD.
This is the position OU should always be in…grab your spot while you can or be left behind.
That’s the best way to do it with these kids, if they know they wanna be here make em hurry it on up.
Wow been avoiding this site all day cause I just now got to watch game. GREAT NEWS BOOMER!
SOONER!
LOL I know what you mean. I have been doing the same myself.
Hey, this is great but the kid will need to change his name. We already have three Jordon’s on the defense and one Paker.
Yeah, those names are first come first serve.
That gives a whole new meaning to the term “Hybrid Back”.
Can you imagine Bob Barry trying to keep that straight? We will get to see how good Toby Roland is.
Not sure if you’re a thunder fan but it would be hilarious to see Brian Davis try to call a game with all those Jordan’s, parkers and Thomas’s
On top of the fact that he probably could confuse thabeet and Isaiah Thomas.
Nah, I moved to Alabama long before the thunder were a thing in Oklahoma. That and I don’t particularly like the NBA.
Any early bets on whether the jokers over at DOK are going to pick Texas next week?
I’m betthing the Cotton Bowl will be more Crimson than baby poop color this year. Bevo will probably stay at home along with a lot of Texas fans.
I knew Trammel would pick WVU. It’s his M.O. Nuff said.
That knucklehead is okay with being wrong just to take the chance on being right. That way he can come across as the all-seeing eye. So self-serving, that man is.
He was the only person beating that tcu drum after their first 2 years in the little12 and turns out he looks like a genius (even though I think tcu is going 9-3 this year)
Exactly. He acts like a punk. He wants you to think he has all this wisdom.
He doesn’t care if he’s right or wrong. He just cares if you read his stuff and talk about it elsewhere. He wins.
Sam, I think if you lived here in OKC and could listen to him on the radio every day, you would have a different opinion of Trammel. Is he pro OU 24/7? No, but thats not his job. He is insightful and thought provoking and, by far, the best writer we have here. Not sure why people hate on him.
BoomerDave, wow!
That is not a ringing endorsement for the rest of the sports personalities in OKC. Everything I’ve seen of Trammel leads me to believe he’s self-serving.
For instance, look at his post-game report: he didn’t pick OU and he couldn’t simply say OU won.
No, he couldn’t: he had to point out some things that are laced with some I-told-you-sos. I quote: “The Sooners were in control. Then they weren’t. Then they were again. It wasn’t as easy as it looked….” Why does he act so surprised when OU struggled. After all, he picked them to lose.
Trammel is a punk and his article are sub par, at best.
Everything he said is correct! They looked in control, then they didn’t. Then they were again. That is all completely true! Please Sam, I thought you could be more objective than that! Did he really pick OU to lose? He said all week that he thought OU would win the game, but that he always picks one BigXII upset and this is the one he reluctantly picked. It was the most logical as most national people picked WVA as well. Are they all “punks” as well? Is anyone who picks against OU a “punk”? Again, I’m surprised by the one quote you selected to show he is a “punk”, because it is a 1000% accurate statement. This game did have its ups and downs. You can’t honestly say that you were never at least concerned when WVA got to within 3 and we were backed up on our own 5. Again, if you lived here and listened to Barry 5 days a week on the radio, you would have a totally different opinion of him, I promise.
Trammel is a great writer, by far the best in Oklahoma. People hate on him because he doesn’t write wearing crimson-colored glasses. He is very knowledgeable and best of all, he makes Traber look like the fool he is practically every day.
The only time I listen to Traber is when Trammel is on. Those are the two best segments of the entire show.
He said on his radio show that he thought OU would win the game, but he has to pick a Big XII upset every week, and thought WVA was the most likely underdog to win. His other options were Kansas beating ISU, Texas beating TCU, TTU beating Baylor or KSU beating OSU. In retrospect, KSU would have been his best option, but I can’t argue with his choice. Most of the “so called” national experts picked WVA as well.
The real question is does he that should not be named pick Texas?
Surely he will, I don’t see him getting completely off the negative wagon.
I called it early this week that Parker would pull the trigger on OU glad I was right love this kids tape and what I have seen big get! Now Caleb Kelly needs to go ahead and say I do as well lol.
Awesome!!!! This is a really good recruiting class that is shaping up.
Man,that is great to hear. Welcome to Sooner Nation Mr. Parker.
Man do these 2015 and 2016 DB groups for the good guys have some supreme talent! Great, great news!
Excited about the D! Need to get a great DL and we will be set! Welcome Jordan!
Was just thinking of Chris Daniels.
Checked his rivals page and he has made no officials nor has any scheduled.
Odd, that.
He knows where he belongs!
I believe he has a OV to OU in Nov
Hope so, it isn’t showing any official visits on his page.
Maybe he hasn’t taken his act?
Always a possibility.
247 has Nov. 20th, TCU weekend. And looks to be pretty much between OU/TCU/aTm.
^^^^ this^^^
YESSIR!! Welcomw Mr. Parker!
Ahh, Mr. Parker
EasTex, the the fighting leprechauns go down.
That would either be the hunchback leprechauns or the fightin’ frenchies. 🙂
Not an inch will you give them, will you?
Not even a micron.

That was funny. Not that it matters, where do you think OU will land tomorrow?
Don’t care about polls, just winning.
OU No Huddle is on FSSW.
I’m watching the game again. I recorded it earlier. The OL is looking good.
Saw improvement in many areas on O and D.
Run lanes still seem to be missing. I’d like to see dalton get some reps at left guard instead of Alvarez. What I saw of Dalton in the Tulsa game was impressive. Did you notice anything about the o-line that was better?
The OL was blocking their assignments, wvu was blitzing in the open gaps almost the entire game.
I reckon so. With WVA blitzing so much I guess it’s just a matter of the odds that some would get through. I still shudder somewhat thinking that if we think THIS line is young and inexperienced then next year will be a bigger shock as OU loses four of those guys who either start or are part of the rotation.
I think Alvarez is a better center than guard. I too was impressed with Dalton in the Tulsa game.
Agree. Thought we played closer to a complete game than we have previously. Just some mistakes here and there.
So many penalties.
Any good notes from it?
Such a nice reply concerning those #*%@%&’s. Just like Eas, I CAN’T see them lose enough! And after the nice win over WV, I celebrated with a nice IPA and watching the first five minutes of Blake Bell and the boys beating those same South Bend….well, whatever they are.
Perfect day – OU has a good win; t-sips get blown out in Q1; and the leprechauns lose a heartbreaker.
After watching Tennessee louse again tonight does it seem like they play at there opponents level then find a way to louse the game? Arkansas is a bad team, Florida is a decent team and OU is OU.
gotta think that some of the players have lost a bit of confidence with each loss
I was looking into the eyes of the the QB, Dobbs, and it certainly looked like it to me.
I feel like they have the potential but, like you said they find a way to lose
I am ALWAYS thrilled to pick up top Cali talent. Caleb Kelly, come on down!
The funny thing is, we could potentially have 2 players named Parker (Steven & Jordan), 2 players named Jordan (Jordan Parker and Jordan Thomas), and 2 players named Thomas (Jordan & Ahmad) on the field at the same time! Bob Barry Sr would have struggled mightily with that mess of names!
Plus Jordan Evans and Cody Thomas. And I would take Parker Boudreaux!
Shoot…I didn’t think of that. We could have 4 Jordans on the field at the same time if he plays as a freshman!
BOOM!! Welcome to OUr Sooners, Jordan Parker!
Welcome to Sooner Nation Jordan.
It’s offically HATE texas WEEK!!!!
Parker looks like a legitimate lockdown corner. I like it a lot.
Awesome quote from his coach:
“Special kid. Tremendous athlete. Great attitude,” Pittsburg coach Victor Galli told the Mercury News. “We’ve really only had a few special players where if things are going wrong they would take the team on their backs… He refuses to lose.”
