Tanner Schafer was recruited by both Oklahoma and Texas Tech as a walk-on player. He chose the Sooners and arrived in 2016. 

Career So Far

Schafer took a redshirt year in 2016. He played in the season openers of 2017 and 2018, but did not play in 2019. Schafer did earn a scholarship this year for his senior season.
