The Path to Norman
Amani Bledsoe, a highly rated prospect out of high school in Kansas, was offered by former OU Coach Jerry Montgomery back in October, 2014. After Coach Montogmeryβs departure, former Coach Diron Reynolds regained contact with Bledsoe and reestablished a bond. Schools in his top ten included Kansas, Miami, Nebraska, Oregon, and UCLA, with Kansas and OU coming down to the wire.

Career So Far
Bledsoe found the field very quickly as a freshman. Even before the 2016 season started, nothing but positive talk had been heard about his athletic abilities. He played in six consecutive games before a suspension ended that season. Amani was able to resume play against Iowa State in 2017 and played in the remaining games, starting in eight of them.

2018 Season
2018 should be a year for Bledsoe to be in a starting role the entire season. Despite having been in Norman for two years now, Amani barely has more than one seasonβs worth of experience due to sitting out for parts of each of the past two seasons. Even still, the experience he has gained and his natural athleticism should see him start this season and be a major force on the defensive front.
