The Path to Norman
Tyler Guyton was a three-star defensive lineman out of Manor, Texas. He originally signed with TCU, flipping to the offensive line during two seasons down in Forth Worth. Following the 2021 season, Guyton entered the transfer portal and landed with the Sooners.

Career so Far
Guyton played two seasons with the Horned Frogs. He redshirted his first year, playing in one game. In 2021, he played in eight games; Guyton mostly played at offensive tackle, but he also saw time at H-back, even scoring against Iowa State.

This Season
Guyton has already made people notice him this offseason, with talk of his hard work in the weight room and athleticism. The offensive tackle two-deep will be tough to crack in 2022; could Coach Lebby use him at H-back like the Horned Frogs did? It might take time, but Tyler Guyton has three seasons of eligiblity remaining and all the tools to be an impact player for the Sooners.
