The Path to Norman
Cody Jackson, out of Richmond, TX, attended the same high school as a Sooner legend: CeeDee Lamb. The highly-ranked receiver started honing in on OU early in his recruiting journey. Way back in November, 2018, Oklahoma was his third offer. The offers started piling in quickly, with LSU, Texas, and Alabama jumping in over the next few months. However, a Spring Game visit in 2019 sealed the deal, making Jackson OU’s first member of the 2021 class with almost two years until signing day.

Highlights
This Season
Jackson enrolled in the spring, giving him an offseason on campus already. He has been working mostly at inside receiver, with talent and size to work outside as well. Although OU likes lining up receivers at different spots, Marvin Mims and Drake Stoops are the leaders at inside receiver. In a group looking to turn around after a down year in 2020, Jackson could be a spark; he could redshirt, but could just as easily be a consistent presence on offense. Look for Jackson to start playing this year regardless as another talented Oklahoma receiver.
