100 Days to Football Time in Oklahoma: #55 Aaryn Parks

The Path to Norman

Aaryn Parks, out of Maryland, was part of an unbelievably talented 2020 offensive line class, along with Nate Anderson, Anton Harrison, Noah Nelson, and Andrew Raym. The lineman was once committed to Penn State, but decommitted in the summer of 2019. With offers from many of the top programs in the country, Coach Bedenbaugh earned the commitment of Parks in the fall of 2019.

Highlights

This Season

Parks hasn’t played yet, but that doesn’t mean he’s not going to. He has been working at tackle this spring and has drawn rave reviews. The starters at tackle are expected to be Harrison and Wanya Morris. Parks, along with Erik Swenson and Noah Nelson, will be part of a group competing to be in the two deep at tackle. Of that young 2020 offensive line class, two of them are expected to be starters in 2021 (Harrison and Raym). It may not be this season for Parks, but he has all the tools to be a contributor this year and a starter in the future for the Sooners.
