The nation’s number two punter, Mundschau committed to the Sooners back in June of 2016, several months before signing day.

Despite performing both kicking and punting duties in high school, his focus now is as a punter. According to Sooner Sports, his last name is pronounced MUND-schow. Because that clears it right up.

Career so Far

Mundschau redshirted in 2017 and did not play in 2018.

2019 Season

After what feels like a decade (in a good way), Austin Seibert has moved on from Norman. That will leave all kicking responsibilities open this season. TFB reported this spring that Gabe Brkic is expected to take over kicking (field goals, extra points, and kickoffs), while Mundschau is looking to start at punter. Sooner fans will be cheering for him as the new face of the OU punt game.
