The Path to Norman
Redi Mustafaraj – whose name instantly upgrades any roster – comes from Atoka, OK. After high school, he went to NEO, which is in Miami, Oklahoma. Following the 2022 season, Mustafaraj joined Oklahoma as a preferred walk-on.

This Season
Zach Schmit returns as the kicker after starting in 2022. He handled kickoffs and was nails on extra points, but had an up and down season on field goals. Both Mustafaraj and Gavin Marshall will compete for a portion or all of the job this fall. With increased competition, OU special teams should have options at kicker this season.
