The Path to Norman

Jake McCoy played high school football just up the road from Norman. Hailing from Edmond North, McCoy walked on with the Sooners in 2019 as a linebacker.

Career so Far

McCoy took a redshirt season in 2019 and did not play. In 2020, he played in the team’s final seven games, mostly on special teams, and earned Academic All-Big 12 Second Team honors.

2021 was another good year for the Edmond product; he played in eight games, again mostly on special teams, and earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors.
