100 Days to Football Time in Oklahoma: #4 Chandler Morris

The Path to Norman

Chandler Morris, son of former Arkansas head coach and current Auburn offensive coordinator Chad Morris, started turning heads roughly a year and a half before his signing day. OU was one of his earliest offers, on a list that ended up including Clemson, Auburn, Arkansas, USC, and more. In the summer of 2019, Morris committed to Arkansas. However, he reopened his recruitment in November, shortly before the signing period. At the Under Armour All-Star Game, Morris committed to the good guys.

Highlights

2020 Season

All signs are pointing to the staff believing they found an absolute gem in the 2020 class with a late signing of Morris. Coach Riley has mentioned Chandler quite a bit, saying that he is “way ahead” of knowing the offense. Spencer Rattler has been named the starter, with Tanner Mordecai and Tanner Schafer as backups. Morris will have a chance to continue acclimating to the college game this year and be ready to compete in years to come.
