The Path to Norman

Jaden Knowles played high school football down in Kennedale, Texas as a running back. After his time there, he attended Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

After a few years there, he decided to join the Sooners as a walk-on.

Career so Far

Knowles took a redshirt season in 2020 and did not play. However, Jaden has also become known off the field as “Weatherman J.” Check out the article below to get to know that side of him.

In 2021, Knowles played in all 13 games of the season, mostly on special teams. He earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors for the season.

This Season

The running back room has a lot of options in 2022, but not much experience. Eric Gray is almost certainly the day one starter; after him, a scholarship group including Jovantae Barnes, Marcus Major, and Gavin Sawchuck will all be pushing for playing time. Then, walk-on backs Tawee Walker, Todd Hudson, and Knowles will also be fighitng to play. In his senior season, Knowles will continue to push for carries for the Sooners.
