The Path to Norman

Daeh McCullough was a four star recruit out of Indiana. He was committed to Cincinnati for several months of his recruitment, along with holding offers from Michigan, Penn State, Florida, and more. Near the end of the 2022 season, two big things changed: Luke Fickell departed Cincy for Wisconsin and Daeh’s brother, Dasan, entered the transfer portal from Indiana. The brothers wanted to play together and the Sooners were eager to land the talented duo. Both announced for OU in December, 2022.

Highlights

This Season

Recruited as a safety, McCullough enters a competitive room this fall. Billy Bowman returns and, if healthy, is a true difference maker. Key Lawrence is the probably starer at the other spot, but will have fierce competition from the likes of Robert Spears Jennings, Reggie Pearson, and Peyton Bowen. With all of that competition, McCullough will likely redshirt in year one, with plenty of room for excitement in years to come.
