The Path to Norman

Emeka Megwa was a highly-ranked member of the 2021 class. He was offered by many top programs, including Notre Dame, Alabama, and OU. However, Megwa went to Washington to start his college career. After one season, he transferred to Norman.

Career so Far

Unfortunately, Megwa has had quite the injury bug in his short collegiate career. He had ACL surgery and missed the entire 2023 spring.

This Season

With his injuries, it’s hard to know what to expect from Emeka Megwa. While he certainly brings a different element to the running back room with his size, his full availability is unknown. The Sooners will have Barnes and Sawchuk as the top two at running back; if Megwa can stay healthy, he may be able to earn snaps this season.
