The Path to Norman

Caleb Nitta had a few pit spots before becoming a Sooner. The Virginia high school football product first played college ball at Va Tech. After two seasons, he transferred to Western Kentucky. Nitta had a productive season there, then transferred to OU.

Career so Far

Nitta redshirted in 2023 without playing. In 2024, he saw action in three games, starting in the bowl game.

In 2025, his lone season at Western Kentucky, Nitta played in all 11 games, including nine starts at center.

Nitta comes to OU with a full season of experience at Western Kentucky. He’s spent time out this spring with injury, but has worked at both guard and center. The Sooners will look to Nitta to provide playing time and depth at both spots this fall.
