The Path to Norman

Daniel Odom became a national recruit out of California and received more than 20 scholarship offers. The four-star receiver committed to Oklahoma in January 2025 after a junior-day visit, choosing the Sooners from a group that included Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Miami, and Washington. As a close friend with former OU quarterback commit Jaden O’Neal, the prevailing thought was that Odom would leave the class after O’Neal did. However, Odom stuck it out with the Sooners.

Highlights

This Season

Unfortunately, Odom was out much of the offseason with injury. This year will likely focus on full health for the receiver, getting experience when possible, and looking forward to a bigger role next season.
