The Path to Norman
Omarion Robinson came to OU out of the Arkansas high school ranks. Robinson, a safety in the 2025 class, was offered by the Sooners at the start of 2023. He picked up over two dozen offers, including Oregon, Georgia, LSU, and Arkansas, and was a threat on special teams to go with his safety play. Coach Brandon Hall made Robinson a priority and was rewarded with a commitment in the summer of 2024.
TFB’s Charlie reviewed his film shortly after his commitment; check it out below:
Career so Far
Robinson played in the majority of the season’s games as a freshman; he saw action in nine games, mostly on special teams with some snaps in the secondary as well.

Highlights
This Season
The Sooners lost veteran Robert Spears-Jennings to the NFL and Jaydan Hardy to the portal, leaving less depth at safety. Enter Omarion Robinson, who enjoyed a very promising offseason. He secured a spot as the third safety behind Peyton Bowen and Michael Boganowski, which was reflected on this week’s depth chart. Robinson got his feet wet last year; this year, he’ll look to be a much bigger factor and a consistent part of the safety rotation.
