The Path to Norman
The Sooners pulled Jacob Curry from the state of Florida as part of the 2026 recruiting class. In high school, he was named the 2024 St. Augustine Record all-county defensive player of the year and later earned Florida Class 6A Player of the Year honors. Curry committed to Oklahoma in October 2025 after visiting Norman for the win over Auburn.
Highlights
This Season
Curry begins his career in a veteran linebacker room led by Owen Heinecke, Kip Lewis, and transfer Cole Sullivan, with James Nesta and several others among those pushing for snaps. Unfortunately, Curry was out most of the spring with a lower body injury. He’ll work toward full health before finding his role for the Sooners.
