The Path to Norman
Derrick Johnson was a member of the California high school ranks and had a standout track career to go with his football experience. The cornerback from the 2026 class had an exciting skillset that landed him plenty of offers, with a top group including TCU, UCLA, Utah, and Washington. After an official visit to Norman in the summer of 2025, Johnson committed to Oklahoma.
