The Path to Norman
Trenton Wilson was a member of the 2025 defensive lineman class for the Sooners. Wilson played high school football in Maryland and was a big target for Coach Bates. The lineman had offers from plenty of major programs, including Ohio State, Penn State, Texas A&M, Michigan, and many more, by the time he received his OU offer. Within just a few short months of that offer, Wilson committed to the Sooners.

The interior defensive line was one of the brightest groups for the Sooners in 2024. A lot of pieces are returning for 2025, including Damonic Williams, Jayden Jackson, David Stone, and Gracen Halton.
Wilson will likely redshirt in year one with several experienced players in the room. However, look for him to be a major factor in Coach Bates’ defensive lineman room in years to come.
