The Path to Norman
Ivan Carreon, a four star receiver recruit out of Texas, was a long-time Texas Tech commit. After a camp at OU in the summer of 2023, he picked up an OU offer. In very short order, he flipped to the Sooners as part of an impressive receiver class for Coach Emmett Jones.

Career so Far
With the massive amount of injuries to the OU receiver room in 2024, Carreon was called upon earlier than expected. He played in almost every game of his freshman season, logging 10 receptions. Carreon was especially bright in the bowl game, with seven catches and several big plays.

Highlights
This Season
Oklahoma’s wide receiver room will have a lot of new faces in 2025, plus several returning options. Deion Burks, Javonnie Gibson, Isaiah Sategna, and several others will be the frontrunners of the group. Carreon gained valuable experience in 2024. Despite having several guys likely ahead of him on the depth chart, expect Carreon to contribute this fall.
