The Path to Norman
Ryan Fodje was initially an under-the-radar recruit. The Texas high school product was playing EDGE and starting his junior season when Coach Bedenbaugh made an offer, Fodje’s first. Within six months, Fodje had a few dozen offers from big programs, including USC, Texas, Oregon, and many more. However, on a visit to Norman in early 2024, Fodje committed to the Sooners.

This Season
Fodje enrolled early and has worked primarily at right guard. He has been one of the players most consistently mentioned as standing out, with regular notes on his hard work and focus. Febechi Nwaiwu returns after starting at right guard all last season and looks set to start again, but Fodje has really impressed this spring and will look to be a factor in year one with the Sooners.
