The Path to Norman
Maliek Hawkins was plenty familiar with the Sooners even before his recruitment. The son of former OU player Michael Hawkins Sr. and the brother of quarterback Michael Hawkins Jr. was a corner out of Texas in the 2025 class. Hawkins received offers from Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi State, but instead was the first DB commit in the 2025 OU class.
