The Path to Norman
A kicker out of Texas, Tate Sandell started his college career at UTSA. He spent three seasons with the Roadrunners before transferring to OU.
Career so Far
Sandell took a redshirt season in 2022 while playing in four games.
In 2023, he played in all 13 games handling kickoffs. Sandell set a program single-season record with 42 touchbacks and was named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
2024 saw Sandell once again play in all 13 games while handling kickoffs, extra points, and field goals, including a school-record 54-yarder.
