The Path to Norman
Kendel Dolby started his college football journey in Oklahoma, but not at OU. Dolby went to NEO (Miami, OK) for two seasons; after the 2022 campaign, Dolby entered the portal. He received offers from Oklahoma State, Washington, Arkansas, and more, but chose the Sooners as his destination.

Career so Far
Dolby played with NEO for two seasons, seeing time in 16 games. In 2022, he was named the Southwest Junior College Football Conference Defensive Player of the Year
In his first season with the Sooners, Dolby played in all 13 games. He started three games at Cheetah, filling the void left by Justin Harrington’s injury, and earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12.
Dolby started in three games in 2024 at the Cheetah spot and looked like one of OU’s best defensive players before an injury against Tennessee ended his season.

This Season
Dolby was limited over most of the offseason as he continued his recovery process. He has worked at both Cheetah and corner and could be a starter at either spot. Both his health and the health of others will certainly factor into his role, but, if healthy, Dolby can be an electric defender for the Sooners this year.
