The Path to Norman

Elijah Thomas was a member of the 2025 recruiting class. The top 150 player came to OU out of Checotah, Oklahoma. He had offers from many big-name programs, such as Alabama, Texas A&M, and more. Coach Emmett Jones locked down his commitment in the summer of 2023, a year and a half before Thomas’ signing day.

Highlights

This Season

The receiver group was largely overhauled over the offseason. Guys like Isaiah Sategna, Keontez Lewis, Deion Burks, and others all have experience at the position and will certainly be featured. However, Elijah Thomas’ name has been mentioned as much as anyone’s this offseason. With the hype he’s received and the serious need of improvement in the receiver room from last season, Thomas looks set to be a regular contributor in year one.
