The Path to Norman
Da’Jon Terr took a very long route to Norman. A Mississippi high school product, he was a member of the 2019 Kansas recruiting class. After two season in Lawrence, Terry transferred to Tennessee.
During his two seasons with the Vols, Terry was a consistent contributor and played in every game. Following the 2022 season, Terry made the move to be a Sooner.

Career so Far
Terry’s first year in college was a redshirt season with the Jayhawks, during which he played in three games. In 2020, he played in all games but one, making two starts.
In 2021, the big man began playing for Tennessee. He played in every game, logging 19 tackles and getting into the backfield during his snaps.
2022 was a similar season; Terry played in all 13 games, now starting in seven of them, and was a dependable presence on the Vols’ line.
During his first year at OU, Terry played in all 13 games and earned four starts. He was an effective interior lineman for the Sooners and was a game captain against UCF.

This Season
Terry has been mentioned repeatedly this spring as a standout among the returning interior linemen. TCU transfer Damonic Williams looks like a lock to start; Terry and Gracen Halton will likely be the other main factors inside for the Sooners. OU will be asking a lot of its defensive line in the first season in the SEC; Terry looks ready to respond to that call.
